Celebrate Your Birthday

As the years go by it gets harder to think of creative and fun birthday gifts. If you are about to celebrate a significant birthday you may wish to use it as a fun way to give back to Leukaemia CARE. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

• You can create a birthday list in the same way as couples set up wedding lists and all the donations will come to Leukaemia CARE – this can be done at www.birthdaygiving.com. This information can be given to all your guests and they simply use the site to search for your birthday to donate online. This is particularly useful if you are going to ask friends and family in advance to donate what they would have put towards a present.
• If you are going to ask for donations on the night we can provide you with gift aid envelopes to put out or you could use a gift aid form for donors to use in a similar way to individuals’ sponsor forms. Both methods ensure that the charity receives the gift aid at minimal effort to you.
• We can give you pin badges to give to family in return for a donation; these are already on sale from our online shop for £1 each so you can see what they look like there. If you are planning on buying in bulk please contact Fundraising and we can quote you a special price.
• We can make you a banner or posters for the party highlighting the various ways to donate. We can also provide a quantity of ‘Support’ Leaflets for you to spread awareness of the work of the charity.
