Last Choir Standing 2011, 3 November, 7pm
THE COUNTDOWN IS ON FOR LAST CHOIR STANDING 2011
With over 10 choirs entered, the evening promises to be one of unforgettable entertainment.
Once again the event will be held in The Forum, Malvern Theatres on Thursday 3 November 2011. Adult tickets will be available at £12.50 and £7.50 for children under 16.
Last years "Corporate Last Standing Choir" was certainly a night that will not be forgotten, raising over £11k for Leukaemia CARE. Excellent performances where held by everyone. Staff at Malvern Theatre experienced a role reversal at the charity singing competition, as they won the Postcode Anywhere Last Choir Standing Event 2010 trophy. The Malvern Theatres choir wowed judges with their lively and harmonious soul medley including Aint No Mountain High Enough, Higher and Higher, My Guy and Walking on Sunshine.
Coming a close second was Louise Hewitt and her Worcestershire Ambassadors who secured runners-up trophy for their spiritual performance of I willfollow Him from Sister Act, dressed in habits and wimples.
Other stars of the show included Thursfield Solicitors who were awarded the Judges special prize with their sophisticated Bond Medley followed by the Worcester Warriors who received a commendation. Singing boy band repertoire comprising Backstreet Boys' I want it that way and Westlife's World of our Own they gave a brilliant entertaining performance.
Also joining in the fun were choirs representing Ballard Dale Syree Watson, Fort Royal Community Primary School, Leukaemia CARE and Barclays Corporate, OOPS (One Off Performance Society) and of course sponsors, Postcode Anywhere.
